Share the Harvest // Now through Nov. 11

This November, Missio's Share the Harvest Campaign will reach our neighbors and the nations. To meet tangible needs of our local neighbors, we are partnering with Mary Rieke & Hayhurst Elementary schools to help care for about 50 under-resourced families. We encourage each Missio family to consider “adopting” a family in need by donating a gift card (Safeway, Albertson’s, and/or Fred Meyer) in $25-$50 increments. Please label the amount on the card. Missio will be collecting gift cards through Sunday, Nov. 11.

To care for our global neighbors, we will be packing shoeboxes as part of Operation Christmas Child to send gifts and supplies to kids ages 2-14 in need around the world. Please consider donating a hygiene item like a toothbrush or bar of soap, and a "wow" gifts like dolls, soccer balls & manual pumps, stuffed animals, and toy trucks. For more gift ideas and details about what can and can't go in a box, check out this website .We'll also be collecting actual shoeboxes to hold the gifts. Missio Kids will help pack, decorate, and pray for the boxes on Sunday, Nov. 4 so please bring all donations by then.

Missio Fall Trainings

Missio Fall Trainings

At Missio we believe that Jesus has called us all to be his disciples and we understand that disciples are learners. So part of the work of the church is to teach and equip people for serving Christ’s church as he has called his disciples to do. As we head into the Fall season we are taking some time to intentionally investing in people for this purpose. The following ministry areas will hold training days on the designated dates. If you are a part of this ministry already - please plan to attend your training day(s). If you are interested in serving, please contact the designated leader and come to the training as well!

Missio at the Pumpkin Patch // Sun. Oct. 28

To celebrate life as a family and make intentional space to invite people of peace, we're meeting at The Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, Oct 28. Come be together as a community, whether you have a pumpkin or not, whether you have kids or not, and enjoy time together. This is a great space to meet new people and get further connected to the Missio Family. Meet in front of the Big Red Animal Barn at 10:30am. Check out https://www.thepumpkinpatch.com/ for additional information.

Serving Opportunities at Missio

A fantastic way to get plugged into the Missio Community is to serve! Here are a few ways to share your giftings, talents and time:

MISSIO KIDS
Missio Kids exists to partner with parents in discipling their children toward knowing Jesus and making Him fully known in the world. We have four different classes where we serve kids ages birth through 5th grade and volunteers serve once a month on a regular rotation. As a weekly team, we pray together before each Expression, work together to set up and tear down all our classrooms, and get to know one another as we serve kids and parents each month.
Current needs:
- 4 2s & 3s Volunteers
- 4 Pre-K/Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistants
- 4 Elementary Teacher’s Assistants
- 2 Check-in Volunteers

WORSHIP
The vision of our worship ministry is to become authentic worshipers of Jesus in our every day lives and allow that identity to shape our communal worship gatherings. We serve on Sundays by leading worship through song, prayer, and readings from the stage. We also serve by performing behind the scenes tasks, such as running sound, slides, and organizing the different people serving on a given Sunday.
Current needs:
- Worship team (both vocalists and instrumentalists)
- Media
- Sound

SETUP & BREAKDOWN
The vision of the Missio Setup & Breakdown Team is to create a space where people can enter with minimal distractions and engage worship fully. We serve on Sundays by transforming the gym and other classrooms into spaces of worship as well as setting the rooms back in order so that the school can continue the work of educating and caring for the community.
Current Needs: 4-6 Volunteers

GREETERS
Greeters are some of the first people guests and the Missio family see and interact with at a Sunday Expression. We serve by greeting people as they come through the door, answering questions they may have about Missio, introducing and connecting people to one another, and helping people navigate Sunday Expressions.
Current Needs: 3 Greeters
