July 8-12, we are partnering with Riversgate and Greater Portland to host our first ever Kids Day Camp. Kids’ Day Camp is an intentional, vibrant, and fun space of discipleship for Missio kids and our friends and neighbors to learn about Jesus and grow closer in relationship to him (think Vacation Bible School, but better!!) It gives us the opportunity to reach more kids than just ours with the love of Jesus. We need your support to do this well.
Volunteer roles include…
Camp Guides (small group leaders) lead and facilitate a small group of kids in discussions, activities community building, and prayer time. You’ll stay with your small group the entire week. Each group will have two leaders.
Storytelling Team teaches the Big God Story each day.
Worship Team will be leading kids and volunteers in worship (and silly camp) songs throughout the week.
Game/Recreation Team will facilitate group game and team building activities.
Craft Team helps kids use their creativity in creating the craft of the day.
Registration Team helps families check-in for the day by putting on name tags, checking to make sure paperwork is complete and answering any questions parents may have about the week.
Greeting Team welcomes families, walks kids to their small groups in the auditorium, and offers coffee and pastries to parents.
Snack Team prepares and cleans up the kids’ snacks daily.
Check-out Team greets parents and helps match them up with their kid(s) at the end of the day.
